In mid-July, the 10,000th digital secondary substation in E.ON’s German grid was commissioned. Through a comprehensive procurement initiative, E.ON is ensuring the progress of the energy transition in Germany for this decade and beyond. The digitization of the German energy landscape has made great progress: Germany's largest distribution grid operator E.ON has built a digital twin for its 700,000-kilometre power grid via a central data platform. With the successful commissioning of a fully automated combined heat and power (CHP) plant, E.ON, together with MM Neuss (Mayr-Melnhof Karton Group), sets a new standard for industrial energy supply.
